House of the Scorpion Pre Reading

“Clones aren’t human”. This statement is true in a number of ways, for example, there cannot be human clones because it is internationally illegal, and therefore clones are not humans. Clones also may have different morals than us, because they are against many morals.

Even in fiction clones aren’t one hundred percent human. In Star Wars Storm or Clone troopers are both cloned by a Mandolorian, which is human like, but not human. They also will shoot first; ask questions later type, they could’ve stopped the Empire if they refused Order 66, but only 3 did, who eventually survived into the Rebellion era, including the famous Captain Rex.

The clones in Pokemon: The First Movie wasn’t any better. They had no free will, except the master, Mewtwo. They fought their “real” counterparts with no objections, except the Meowth one, asking why fight, we are the same?, he only asks this because the original was a smarter pokemon than the others.

These reasons are why clones cannot be human. No free will and it is illegal. That is why.
