March Post-reading

The dystopian society in which the government is so oppressive that the people have no choice for themselves is worse than a false happiness society which doesn't know the oppression of the government. That is because the you are taken from your own life, and then become a slave to the dictator, like a slave. While, a false happiness society still has some freedom, and believe that the dictator is good.
In examples you still see this is true. Like for instance, Stalin, with the Communist party, had to force people to obey, but if they refused, they were put into labor camps. The citizens of the underworld, in the game Undertale, were forced to their new home by the humans. The citizens soon found a false happiness, and hope, if they killed one human, they would have 7 souls and the King would become God, and they could go back to the surface. Monsters were forced to fight, and none of them seemed to care, until they were showed confection.
Though barely anyone used the false happiness approach, it is a better thought-process. This is shown in many pieces of fiction. Like in 1984, where they tried to force false happiness, and they succeeded with Winston later in the book, by torturing him. While, there are many oppressive society exist in history, like Hitler, where they took over land and forced the Jewish and Catholic people in camps.
The oppressive society is scarier than the false happiness one. The “happy” slave is better than the tortured one. It is shown through the many examples that this essay listed.

Classic Dystopian/Utopian Pre-Reading (1984)

The date is January 3, 2230, the people of Earth have evolved into a simpler, but more complex society. Everybody in a city knows each other, much like they did before World War I. We are more technologically advanced than in the Old Times. We have pride in where we're from, willing to fight if we have to, to protect the land we're from, and the people we love. We receive many of the same rights as America in the Old Times had. The government are there to govern the laws and land, not our lives.
We’ve developed an anti-radiation element called, Crobatium, which nullifies the negative effects of the radioactive elements, we have made this element with 3 valence electrons. With this element we’ve developed a speed of travel that is immensely faster than the speed of light, powered by a mixture of hydrogen, carbon, and Crobatium. This, helped us explore the undiscovered universe, and place colonies on many of the uninhabited planets of the Milky Way. We’ve also created a concentrated Uranium and mixed it with Crobatium, which allows us to travel not only the universe, but the Multiverse. With this power we’ve liberated many of universes, like one where Hitler attained power of the entire Earth. We’ve mixed Crobatium and Americium to create a way to traverse time. And we’ve proved many facts with this information, like dinosaurs had feathers and evolved into birds, and learned from many past geniuses, like Albert Einstein, Stephen Hawking, and Leonardo Da Vinci.
With this information we’ve corrected the schools, and made new military schools for the space armada. The space armada has become a very popular branch of the military, for the people who want to experience the universe from a soldier’s point of view. The government instead of leading our lives, like the dictators and elected officials of the Old Times, like Hitler and Stalin, or the dictatorship of the 2130s, only enforce laws, and protecting the people. The people too, are connected, though they cannot stop from hating some people, know each other.
With all of these things, the Earth A-113, which was once the laughingstock of the universe, has become a major world power.

Feed Pre-Reading Prompt 1

"The best way to pursue happiness is to help other people. Nothing else will make you happier." -George Lucas
True happiness is whatever you genuinely feel good about yourself or the world around you, you can't fake it or buy it, true happiness is the feeling you get on stage or the joy you feel when you win. That is how you obtain happiness, by doing what is right in your heart. Giving to charity, playing with your younger sibling, or winning something all give you a sense of satisfaction.
Finishing something, or getting an unexpected achivement, releases chemicals in your brain, causing happiness and addiction. Two sides of a coin, greatness and evil masked as greatness, and in this century the masked evil is more common.
World of Warcraft and other games like it promote addiction, creating vast, expansive worlds, which become larger and larger with every update. Sending addicts "Continue playing" messages. This is how it has been since the early 2000s. Unlike in the early 1900s, when happiness was described of when family was together, not apart.
This is the definition of happiness between the two centuries, and the difference between them.
