Mr. Penumbra's 24 hour bookstore Post reading

"We all have the same hardware, but not the same software" compares to the novel with the characters being different, they are all humans, but with different minds. Like Penumbra is different than Corvina in their original decision of technology, Corvina being against it, and Penumbra being mainly for it. The Corvina wanted to preserve the founder’s image of the Unbroken Spine, so he didn’t want anything around when the founder was. Penumbra was excited when Clay figured out the novice puzzle, and wanted to solve the main puzzle, so he was for Google and technology.
There is also differences between The Unbroken Spine itself and Penumbra’s store, Penumbra’s store became independent and still sold the non FLC books, while every other store only used FLC books, with exceptions. The Unbroken Spine’s stores are all FLC books. with music and other similar things.
Everything in this novel is different, and that’s the same in life. There are the occasional knock-offs and reboots, but they have to have a bit of difference.

  1. Great references to the novel. How do you think people having different software impacts today's society? Do you see older generations struggling to understand teenagers? Maybe this is because their software is different. Does it mean one way is right and one is wrong? Just some questions to think about. Grade: 44/50
